Youth Talk Donegal is a free, confidential, one-to-one support and counselling service for young people aged 12-25. Whether you're dealing with bullying, family conflict, school pressures, friendship or relationship issues, sexuality, or other personal struggles, we are here to listen and support you.
Why We Exist
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where young people can talk openly and work towards their personal and social development goals. We focus on:

Long-term support, ensuring young people can return for help whenever needed
While we offer support in times of crisis, we also focus on preventing challenges from escalating. If additional specialist support is needed, our Youth Workers will recommend services in consultation with the young person—without ending our ongoing support.
How We Help
Our experienced youth workers provide a safe, supportive space, using active listening and a person-centred approach to help young people set and achieve their personal and social development goals.
No issue is too small, and while we support young people in crisis, we also focus on early intervention to prevent small challenges from becoming bigger problems.
Support is not time-limited and sessions continue as long as needed. Young people can return for support in the future whenever they need it.
If needed, and in consultation with the young person, a Youth Worker may recommend additional specialist support. This does not mean Youth Talk Donegal’s support will end, meaning our team remains available throughout the process.
