We’re hiring!

There are currently 2 positions available with the Youthscape Programme.  These posts are supported by the EU’sPeace IV Programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) for a fixed term contract of 3 years with possible extension.  

Donegal Youth Service in partnership with South West College is recruiting for the following posts:

1. Position: Youthscape Programme Facilitator 

Application deadline: Friday the 27th of July at 1pm

Job summary:  Youthscape Programme Facilitators will be responsible for the design and delivery of all the Personal Development and Citizenship content within the Youthscape Programme. In addition the post holder(s) will support the Youthscape Trainer/mediator in the design and delivery of the Good Relations elements of the programme. The post holder(s) will liaise very closely with the Youthscape programme Key Youth Workers to ensure successful outcomes of all Youthscape participants.

The successful candidate will have the drive, ambition, ability and strategic vision to add value to this dynamic organisation

2. Position: Youthscape Programme Key Youth Worker

Application Deadline: Friday the 20th of July at 12pm

Job summary: The Key Youth Workers will be responsible for the recruitment of Youthscape Programme participants utilising a detached youth work model. These individuals will also be responsible for providing 1:1 support to young people for the duration of their participation on the Programme and their transition. They will be trained youth work professionals.

What is the Youthscape programme?

The Youthscape programme is a cross-border, cross-community interventionist programme developed in association with South West College, as Lead Partner, Donegal Youth Service and TIDES Training. It will operate in Counties Tyrone, Fermanagh and Donegal covering the 5 areas of Omagh, Enniskillen, Dungannon, Ballybofey and Letterkenny and will deliver a proactive, youth focused programme to 800 of the regions most marginalised young people.

Community Employment Schemes

  1. Position: CE Administrator (Temporary Cover)Location:  Letterkenny
  2. Position: Youth Support Worker (Temporary Cover) |  Location:  Clonmany

Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.  CE Positions are 19.5 hours per week.

Extra Information: Please contact your local DSP Employment Services/Intreo Office to check your eligibility and to apply for this vacancy. Job Reference Number will be required. Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over. Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for 1 year or more.
