Strategic Plan

The Donegal Youth Service Strategic Plan 2023 – 2025 provides the strategic direction for the organisation and sets out what the organisation does, how we do it and what we aim to achieve over the period. The plan is aligned to relevant local and national youth and youth work policy.  

There are 4 Strategic Goals in the plan which are also aligned to the 7 Donegal Youth Service Strategic Themes, Health and Wellbeing, Participation, Training and Education, Employability, Equality and Citizenship, Mobility and Governance & Sustainability of the Environment. 

The 4 Strategic Goals are:

Supporting young people and their families

To engage young people and their families through an integrated service model that provides a broad range of programmes and supports that work to provide the best outcomes for the young person.

 

Supporting volunteers

To attract, support and retain active volunteers so they may positively contribute to improving the lives of young people.

Supportive partnerships

To build and sustain strong partnerships with voluntary, statutory and private sector organisations that will further enhance the provision of services to young people.

 

Quality governance

To continue to build a quality organisation with strong governance that is committed to ongoing development and is responsive to the changing environment and the changing needs of young people.

As part of our Donegal Youth Service Strategic Plan 2023 – 2025, we have set out key goals to meet each year. We are committed to:

  • 13,500 Young People Engaged

  • 400 Adult Volunteers

  • 1,000 Adult Training

  • 5,000 Youth Training

  • 900 One to One Hours

  • 25 Club Membership

  • 20 Youth Events

  • 85 Strategic Partnerships
