Elevate 55 is a youth support service run by Donegal Youth Service, supported by our team of experienced youth workers. Through Elevate 55, we support young people by delivering programmes across the county including Letterkenny, Rathmullan, Ramelton, Milford, Kerrykeel, Fanad, Kilmacrenan, Churchill, Termon, Carrigart, Cranford and Downings.

Why We Exist

Elevate 55 is dedicated to supporting young people by offering a safe space, guidance, and opportunities to build confidence, social skills, and resilience. Our goal is to create a non-judgmental environment where young people can feel supported and empowered.

Through our Drop-In Centre, Group Work, and One-to-One Support, we help young people with challenges such as bullying, grief, sexuality, family conflict, school problems, and relationship difficulties.

Additionally, we provide workshops in schools, summer programmes, youth advocacy services, and seasonal events such as gig nights, quizzes, gaming competitions, and Halloween parties.

Where We Operate

Our LOFT Drop-In Centre is located on Port Road, Letterkenny, providing young people with free WiFi, tea and coffee, pool tables, table tennis, computers, and gaming consoles.

What We Do

We offer a variety of youth services designed to support and engage young people:

  • Drop-In – LOFT Drop In provides a safe, supervised and non-judgmental space for young people to come in, relax and socialise with peers, or engage with Youth workers. The LOFT Drop In is based on the Port Road in Letterkenny and provides young people with a range of services including free Wifi, free tea and coffee, use of pool table, table tennis, access to computers and games consoles.

  • Group Work – We offer tailored programmes and groups Monday to Friday each evening, with various topics or interests including music, gaming, health & fitness, art, personnel development and an Autism social group.

  • One-to-One Support – Our one-to-one support is a free and confidential support service for young people aged 8 – 21. Young people experiencing difficulty in their life can avail of this support to help them cope with issues such as bullying, grief, sexuality, family conflict, problems at school, friendship/relationship difficulties or anything else they may be struggling with.

  • Workshops & Events – School-based workshops, youth advocacy services, summer programmes, and seasonal events like gig nights, quizzes, gaming competitions, and Halloween parties.

When We Are Available

  • Drop-In: Open daily for young people to relax, socialize, and access support.

  • Group Work: Various programmes run Monday to Friday in the evenings.

  • One-to-One Support: Available by appointment, arranged by young people, parents, schools, or agencies.

  • Additional Services: Workshops, summer programmes, and seasonal events held throughout the year.
