Atlantic InnoBlue Communities (ATLIC) is a new approach for innovation and youth entrepreneurship in the development of the blue economy of the Atlantic area. The project focuses on building an Atlantic Innovation Pilot Blue Community based on open innovation laboratories, knowledge transfer, capacity development, and support networks to develop market solutions for common challenges in the Atlantic.
ATLIC brings together youth, academics, SMEs, and institutions (both public and private) through the Four Helix Model, encouraging active participation in the community.
Why We Exist
ATLIC seeks to empower young people to be leaders of sustainable economic development. In return, they are offered resources and opportunities that go beyond their local communities.
The initiative fosters collaboration between various stakeholders, including local and regional public authorities, research and higher education organizations, interest groups, training centers, schools, businesses (PYMEs), business support organizations, and the general public.

ATLIC is focused on the Atlantic area, creating a network of innovation-driven communities that collaborate to advance the blue economy. The project integrates multiple regions and institutions, ensuring widespread participation and impact.
When It All Began
ATLIC was launched as a pilot initiative to bring together key players in the blue economy through innovation and entrepreneurship. The project is actively ongoing, developing market-driven solutions and expanding its network to drive sustainable economic growth in the Atlantic region.
