ASPIRE Inishowen is an energetic and community-focused project operating under
the UBU: Your Place, Your Space funding stream, supported by the Department of
Children, Education & Youth (DEY). The project is dedicated to providing out-of-
school supports to young people across four key locations in Inishowen: Buncrana,
Carndonagh, Clonmany, and Moville.
ASPIRE Inishowen works with young people aged 10–24, with particular attention
given to those who may be vulnerable, at risk of not flourishing, or experiencing
marginalisation — including LGBTI+ young people, Young Travellers, BAME youth,
Ukrainian young people, Young Carers, and Early School Leavers.
Why We Exist
ASPIRE Inishowen is committed to helping young people reach their full potential by
developing the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges.
Our work aligns with the DEY 7 UBU Proximal Outcomes, focusing on:
- Emotional Intelligence
- Communication Skills
- Confidence
- Planning & Problem Solving
- Creativity & Imagination
- Relationships
- Resilience & Determination
We design programmes that foster personal growth, wellbeing, and empowerment —
ensuring every young person feels seen, supported, and valued.
