
Regional Director
Lorraine has been at the helm of the Donegal Youth Service for 11 years having formally worked as the Youth Information Coordinator. She has been instrumental in the Donegal Youth Service gaining Quality Standards Framework awards (YWI) and has introduced a substantial set of policies and procedures that are at the core of our work.
Youth Information Manager
Gareth is the Youth Information Manager with responsibility for Letterkenny Youth Information Centre, The LOFT and Donegal Youth Council. He has been employed with the Donegal Youth Service for 14 years and has been instrumental in the design and implementation of many initiatives, including cyberbullying workshops that have been rolled out to both primary and secondary schools throughout the county.
Youth Outreach Manager
Charlene is the Youth Outreach Manager with a primary responsibility for our Youth Clubs, Breakout project and the Daybreak programme. Over her tenure, she has been very successful in helping secure funding and managing many cross border projects. Charlene is also responsible for Child Protection and Garda Vetting issues.
Community Employment Supervisor
Lee has been with the DYS for 14 years and is responsible for the Community Employment project. He supervises our 18 current CE participants that are spread geographically throughout the County. Lee is also Donegal Youth Service Health & Safety Officer.
Youth Outreach Youth Worker
Sheena works closely with the Youth Outreach Manager and is responsible for our Youth Clubs. Her forte is training and she annually delivers our Love Hurts programme, which is a Sexual Health Train the Trainers programme. Sheena organises Youth Factor and the Youth Games at both county and national level.
Development Officer
Frankie has 12 years of experience and a passion for Youth Work, Youth Democracy and Restorative Practice. He is a skilled trainer and is involved in the day to day running of the Youth Information Centre. Some of his projects include the World Eleven football team and World Wide Voices music group.
Administrator
Maria is 11 years with the Donegal Youth Service, having spent four of those years on the Community Employment Scheme. Maria works in the Finance & Admin Department with responsibility in areas such as Youth Club Affiliations and maintaining Garda Vetting and Timesheet databases.
Breakout Youth Worker
Sinead has been with the Donegal Youth Service for 8 years, beginning on the Community Employment Project in Daybreak. Sinead is a champion for LGBT issues and has expertise in the field of one to one work. Sinead is the Team Lead for the Breakout and Teen Talk Projects.
YIC Youth Worker
Dominic has been with with the Donegal Youth Service for 8 years. In that time he has worked on numerous cross border projects, the Daybreak Project, and The Loft. He currently works as a youth worker in the Youth Information Centre faciliating special interest groups and one to one work.
Teen Talk Coordinator
Louise began her employment with the Donegal Youth Service as a project worker on the Cross Borders Connection project. Louise then joined the Youth Information Centre (YIC) in 2012, going on to become the Youth Information Officer for a number of years. Since January 2017 she has been coordinating the Teen Talk programme full time.
