BreakOUT Donegal hosted an LGBT youth group from Finland last month as part of their Erasmus Youth Exchange.

They learned so much in relation to cultural differences, LGBT history from an Irish and Finnish perspective.  Most importantly they learned the importance of linking together and how they may be uniquely different in ways their needs are the same.

Great friendships were made over the week, in which the group explored Donegal and hopefully the BreakOut crew will be travelling to Finland next year to continue the work.

BreakOut is a youth project focused on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender young people aged between 16 and 23 years. The project operates a weekly drop-in provision in Letterkenny and Ballybofey as well as training, information and one to one support.

For more information about BreakOut you can check out their own Facebook page here: BreakOUT Donegal or call (074) 91 29630 and ask for Sinéad Murray.
