An Afternoon Tea to Remember

The Donegal Youth Service Afternoon Tea fundraiser took place on Saturday, October 14th in the stunning surrounds of Castle Grove on the shores of the Swilly.  Tickets for the much sought after glamorous event sold out weeks before the event took place.

It’s common knowledge that Donegal ladies are a very glamorous bunch, but attendees really went above and beyond for this special afternoon.  The event was hosted by two fabulous Donegal women, Joanne Gallinagh of Beaus & Belles Baby Massage and Maria Rushe, The S-Mum who were dressed to the nines by Tokyo Boutique.

DYS Youth Outreach Worker and Afternoon Tea organiser Sheena Boyle-Laverty shared “I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the glamorous ladies who made such an incredible effort and made the day the success it was!” and “Thank you so much to our incredible sponsors, as without you this day would not have been possible.  We were absolutely overwhelmed by the support, and the proceeds will make a huge difference in the lives of young people in Donegal.”

As well as a delicious afternoon tea spread of sandwiches, cakes, and scones, attendees were treated to a fashion show from local shops Clare Clothing and Pure Boutique who showcased their stunning Autumn/Winter collections.  Donegal women have plenty of style options locally for this fashion season.

There was also a workshop from Alma McManus of Clothesology offering a “style solution for every body”.  Alma had the crowd of “fine looking women!” laughing and learning from the start.
